As much as new year resolutions go they hardly hold much juice these days. Whatever your resolution be, and everyone must have one, should not be dependent on a human defined calender system unless you find it convenient.
Everyone must think on the topic even if results are not clear or hard to come by, where one is and where must he go. This way he makes lots of choices and save himself / herself from lots of confusion / decision-numbness.
